OUR LIEN UNIT
“It is not enough that we do our best; sometimes we have to do what’s required
–Winston Churchill
Dear Clients, Colleagues and Friends:
The subject of liens is likely everyone’s least favorite endeavor, especially when a case settles but the claim file can’t yet close, because there are a half a dozen or so lingering lien claims, still unresolved.
Many regard liens as a nuisance and a secondary consideration. Even the WCAB has temporarily restricted the number of lien claimants who can participate at a WCAB Status Conference and Lien Trials are not being set during the period of the Governor’s Stay Safe at Home Order.
We are pleased to remind you that we have had a Lien Unit in operation for several years, headed by Rafael Martinez, our Hearing Representative, with over 30 years of experience in this industry. You can view his bio information on our web site at: https://icomplaw.com/our-team/
Rafael is superb at handling and resolving liens, given his substantial experience and his enthusiastic embrace of this specialized area of workers’ compensation, Mr. Churchill would have been proud!
If you need any help or assistance with liens, even a consultation, whether during or after resolution of the case-in-chief, please contact us.
Thank you and please stay safe and well.
Corey Ingber, Esq
